Refund & Cancellation Policy
How cancellations, refunds and payment issues are handled at Lakshya.
1. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to purchases of Premium access and any other paid digital products or services offered by Lakshya, a sole proprietorship. By making a purchase, you agree to this policy and to our Terms & Conditions.
Lakshya provides digital educational services. Purchases grant access to learning resources on the Lakshya platform — no physical goods are supplied. Please review the Pricing page and this policy carefully before purchasing.
2. Cancellation of Subscription
Cancellation rules depend on the billing model of your plan, as described on the Pricing page.
In general:
- You may stop renewing your plan at any time by cancelling before the next billing date, where the plan is a subscription;
- Where a plan provides fixed-term access, access continues until the end of the purchased period;
- Cancelling does not automatically create a refund entitlement for the period already purchased, except as provided in this policy or required by law.
3. Refund Eligibility
Refund requests are considered case by case, based on the nature of the issue and the situations described below.
Please state clearly (in this section or your published terms) the situations in which refunds are provided — for example, technical issues that prevent access, accidental duplicate purchases, or other cases you choose to honour. Any stated eligibility conditions will be honoured as published.
4. Non-Refundable Situations
Except where required by applicable law or specifically honoured by us, the following situations are generally not eligible for refunds:
Examples commonly treated as non-refundable for digital products include: change of mind after substantial use of the resources, failure to use the access during the purchased period, and exam-outcome-related dissatisfaction (since Lakshya does not promise results of any kind).
5. Duplicate Payments
If you are charged more than once for the same plan in the same transaction cycle (for example, a double debit during checkout), contact us as soon as possible with your transaction details. Once verified with our payment service provider, the duplicate amount will be refunded, or the duplicate charge will be converted into plan access if you prefer, subject to your stated preference.
6. Failed Payments
If a payment fails, no amount should normally be debited from you. If an amount is debited but the plan is not activated, the payment service provider typically reverses such transactions automatically within a few working days. If it is not reversed, or if you were debited without receiving access, contact us with the transaction reference and we will follow up with the payment provider until the amount is returned to you or the access is activated — as you prefer.
7. Accidental Payments
If you made an accidental purchase (for example, selecting the wrong plan or paying twice by mistake), contact us immediately. Accidental payments raised promptly and verified by us will be handled in line with the refund rules stated in this policy.
8. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund or report a payment issue, email us with the following details:
- Your full name and registered email address;
- Payment date, amount and transaction reference (from your payment confirmation);
- The plan or product purchased;
- The reason for the request;
- Any supporting screenshots, where relevant.
9. Processing Timeline
Once we verify your request, approved refunds are processed through our payment service provider to your original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.
10. Refund Method
Approved refunds are returned through the same payment method used for the original purchase, via our payment service provider. We do not issue refunds in cash or to alternate accounts.
11. Policy Updates and Contact
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
